WW2 Panzer III J,L,M,N The Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 1 x Tank sprue unboxed.

Each order is for 2 x plastic sprues . Allowing to make 1 x Tank

The sprues provide  1 fast assembly model kits with 3 variant options.

Upgunned initially with the 5.0cm KwK 38 L/42 (Ausf J) and later with the longer barrel 5.0cm KwK/39 L/60 gun (Ausf J/1) the Ausf J was effective against British Valentine and Grant tanks but still no match for the Russian KV-1 or T-34.

The Ausf J in particular served in North Africa and the Eastern Front The Ausf L was an upgunned Pz Kpfw III with the earlier 37mm KwK L/45 replaced with a 50mm KwK L/60 gun.

Other modifications from the earlier Ausf J included turret armour increased and modified air intake louvres and hatches on the rear deck.

The Ausf M was armed with the 5cm KwK39 L/60 and the only real difference compared with the Ausf L was the fording equipment on the Ausf M including the modified muffler mounted high on the rear hull.

The Ausf N was produced between June 1942 and August 1943 fitted with the short barrel 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun.

This fired a more effective high explosive shell as well as a shaped charged round with better armour penetration than the long barrel 5cm KwK L/60 which it replaced.The Pz Kpfw III Ausf N service in North Africa and also at Kursk in 1943.

Based on the reliable Pz Kpfw III Ausf M, 100 Pz Kpfw III Flammpanzer (Fl) were produced between February and April 1943.

Their design was as a result of the German experience during the bitter fighting in Stalingrad. The main difference was the replacement of the 5.0cm KwK L/60 gun with a 14mm Flammenwerfer and extra 30mm plates welded to the hull front.

The flamethrower had an effective range on 55m to 60m. Each sprue has all the parts necessary for either the Ausf J, J1, L, N, M or Fl allowing either 3 of one or the other or any combination in between.
