Modern artisans recreating these objects also helped ensure every detail reflects genuine craftsmanship and everyday life from the 9th to 11th centuries.

The barrels, pottery, furniture, and tools all take cues from authentic designs from foldable market stalls and sturdy feasting tables to clay furnaces, baskets, and sacks of grain. Even the poultry basket is based on period examples, made to hold a hand-painted chicken.
